Over the
past few decades, people from around the world started immigrating to other
countries for several reasons. Some immigrated to find job opportunities in
other countries, others immigrated to avoid discrimination in their homeland,
and other groups immigrated to escape war. However, when these people arrive at
their new homes, they face many difficulties either inside their own self or
between the society. Moreover, in some countries new immigrants may not be
welcome to the natives of the country and may be viewed as different or weird.
In other countries, high authorities provide everything for immigrants to feel
right at home and start integrating with their new society and surroundings,
which in turn will allow the newcomers to start being productive to their new
country.
The latter process mentioned above is an effect of “multiculturalism”. Multiculturalism is the co-existence of various cultures (religions, races, or cultural groups) in the same society. One flawless example of a multicultural nation is Canada. Canada has one of the most diverse societies in the world and one of the most successful and advanced countries in the same time. The country’s multiculturalism policy states that all people are equal, can participate as members of society regardless of religion, race, or ethnicity. Aside from being a strong and loved leader, Canada’s prime-minister Justin Trudeau represents exactly how a multicultural government should treat its people. For example, he would go out to the public and give a speech on a Hindu holiday, congratulate Muslims on Ramadan and Eid, and join the German-Canadians on Oktoberfest.
By bringing many cultures together in the same place, the Canadians developed an understanding of various cultures around the world, and as time passed they grew closer to each other. Canada as we know it today would not be the same if it weren’t for immigrants; Canada’s population would be very small in numbers and economically weak, for immigrants make up approximately 41% of Canadian total population.

Now I’ll
talk about one of the most major problems that is happening right now in our
world. Donald Trump, the president of the United States of America, banning
Muslims from entering the country. His ban on
travelers from seven Muslim-majority nations could be just the beginning of a
broader crackdown on Muslim immigration to the US. This banning, led to lots of
protesting by the American citizens. Many people went in streets stating that,
“America is a free country, We need to stand up for the values that we
support, and that is why we call on our Government to do everything in its
power to change this policy and to oppose it.” They also oppose this law
because it’s against the constitution. The law made by Donald Trump, is a major
problem because it’s increasing the hatred and discrimination towards Muslims.
This hatred can cause tremendous problems for Muslims living around the world.
In my opinion it can lead to World War 3.
In my opinion, that Trump wants to redo the same scenario that happened
with Chinese which was, The Exclusion Act was a United States
federal law signed by President Chester A. Arthur on May 6, 1882, prohibiting all immigration of Chinese laborers. Then in the early 1850s, there was resistance to the idea of
excluding Chinese migrant workers from immigration, because they provided
essential tax revenue which helped fill the fiscal gap of California. But toward the end of the decade, the
financial situation improved and subsequently, attempts to legislate Chinese
exclusion became successful on the state level. In 1858, the California Legislature
passed a law that made it illegal for any person "of the Chinese or
Mongolian races" to enter the state.
Is this humanity? Is this justice? Is this the peace and love
that should be shared among the world? It's heartbreaking
to watch humanity go down because of stupid, lunatic rulers hungry for money,
and power. It's heartbreaking to watch people die, lose their families, lose
their jobs, lose their shelters, lose their rights, lose their freedom, lose
the humor of living the life, lose the definition of humanity, and mainly lose
their souls. Is it really worth human lives? Money and power? Are they really
worth sacrificing human souls and lives for? The world needs humanity, the
world needs mercy to its people, and mainly needs love.
